Nonya Kueh, Miracle World Square

Nonya Kuehs at Miracle SupermarketBehold, the nonya kueh! Sweet chewy goodness made of bean and coconut, and usually available at the counter of your friendly local Asian grocery for $3-4 a pop.

Wrapped Nonya Kueh from Miracle SupermarketThis one is from Miracle (the Asian supermarket at the bottom level of World Square, near the Coles / Puffy shop that sells yummy durian icecream puffs).

Bitten Nonya Kueh from Miracle SupermarketOh and exciting news! We bought a new tube of toothpaste today - it is minty blue, white and green Triple Action Colgate. Hence the minty colour scheme... haha

Hi! Great photos! You have an interesting selection of cakes in Sydney! I have seen this green cake in the Chinese markets but I never try before, maybe I will now.

Thanks!

Unfortunately this is not really nonya kueh. I suspect they are Vietnamese sweets, but a bit similar to nonya kueh.

They can be found in many Chinese grocery shops.
