Sushi Education - You're Eating Your Sushi All Wrong

I pick up the sushi piece with my chopsticks and gingerly dip the edge in the soy sauce. My hands shake slightly and I'm holding my breath but nothing collapses. My sushi stays intact. But when I move it to my mouth that the perfectly formed sushi round cracks in half and collapses all over the table

Noooooooooo, we both moo like cows
Over the table my mum snaps at us
Stop Playing With Your Food!

So I was happy to hear from a friendly random called jerry that there's actually a proper way to pick up, dip and eat your sushi. Master this technique and never again will you squirm with guilt at the question *who left those rice grains in the soy sauce*

#1 Sushi Rule
"Dip the sushi fish side down into the soy sauce. This will also help prevent the rice from falling apart. Only use a little soy and wasabi. You want to taste the fresh fish; don't overpower it with salt or heat. Eat the sliced, pickled ginger between bites — it's there to cleanse your palate, not to flavor the bites." haha love this video, *nononono... I here all day*

So next time you're at your favourite sushi train remember, for maximum sushi eating pleasure you must dip the sushi FISH-FIRST into the soy sauce. Using your hands is optional.
