Glace Icecream & Sorbet, Leichhardt Sydney (and Satang Thai Grand Opening)

Glace Icecream & Sorbet is a little icecream shop that sells some of the freshest, lightest fruity sorbets you'll ever find in Sydney (imho) ! We discovered it a few months ago while randomly walking around Leichhardt

The Lovely Icecream FlavoursThe Lovely Icecream Flavours~
I have tried the green apple and strawberry sorbet, which both strike a perfect balance between icy sweet and lip-smackingly tangy! I've heard that yoghurt is good too, tasting not like frozen yoghurt as you'd expect but uncannily like actual YOGHURT... but have yet to try it

Glace Wall of Awards for Icecream & SorbetLooking around the tiny shop while the icecream man got our icecream we spotted the Glace wall of awards! Do they have a heck load of awards or what... that's how good their icecream is :-)

2L and 5L Icecream tubs at Glace, Leichhardt2L and 5L icecream tubs for sale. I remember they had interesting flavours like Belgian chocolate, pistachio, and pear, blackberry, and cinnamon, coconut, oh and RHUBARB (lolwtf !)

It was too bad we only had enough pocket change on hand for two icecreams, otherwise I would've picked up a tub of mango sorbet

Green Apple Sorbet mmmmmmmmGreen Apple Sorbet yummmmmmmm

BONUS POINTS GO TO GLACE FOR THEIR:
- generously ginormous icecream scoops
- surprisingly thin & crispily delicious waffle cones!

In other important news,
Today, the tiny but famous Satang Thai takeaway opened up a proper restaurant across the road (Quay St, Haymarket) - where the mood is bright bustling chic with blackwood tables, cheerful waiters dressed in black and red, and glass walls that let in the sunlight!

We turned up at 2pm and found it absolutely packed - and with good reason. Grand openings always mean grand specials and Satang was offering all dishes on the menu for $5.00. Food was glorious, especially their Pad Thai (to die for).

EDIT: Photos of grand opening feasting are here!
