Colouring on Photoshop is so Hard and Takes Ages

I FAIL at digital colouring :(
It took me an hour to colour a square 100x100 pixels large
These four squares pretty much sum up almost an entire afternoon's work :(

Haha the featured Sydney icecreamery remains a mystery >D (because I have not finished colouring it)... AAAGH, I ought to be studying for my chinese midsem tomorrow not colouring - if I was a good student that image above would be a chart of chinese characters = = !

EDIT; I've given up on digital colouring and gone back to using old-fashioned brushes and paint for my assignment (is soo much quicker)
